Poet Roger McGough: ‘I like being on stage but I don’t like people looking at me’

Roger McGough has had a busy day when Review speaks to him. He’d recorded an episode of Poetry Please, his Radio 4 show which celebrates poetry on various themes, with Michael Morpurgo ‘an old friend’ and was working on an upcoming Collected Works of his poems.
